♈ ♐

A year or two into an Aries and Sagittarius relationship, you will likely find them still doing the thing that made them fall for each other in the first place: booking the trip before they have figured out how to pay for it, arguing about which highway exit to take and laughing about it ten minutes later, egging each other on to sign up for something neither of them has time for. What looks like recklessness from the outside is actually how these two stay close. They do not sit still long enough to overthink each other.

That ease traces straight back to the fire they share. Aries and Sagittarius both move on instinct and both get bored fast, so neither one is waiting around for the other to catch up emotionally or socially. Mars gives Aries the impulse to start things, Jupiter gives Sagittarius the appetite to expand them, and together that is a genuinely good division of labor: one lights the match, the other decides how big the fire gets.

Where it gets bumpy is honesty without tact. Sagittarius will say exactly what they think about Aries' new haircut or business idea, and Aries, thin-skinned about criticism even though they dish it out constantly, will bristle before remembering that Sagittarius did not mean any harm by it. There is also a quieter mismatch: Aries wants a decision and a direction, Sagittarius wants to keep every door open, and that cardinal-versus-mutable difference shows up in small ways, like one wanting Saturday planned by Tuesday and the other refusing to commit until Saturday morning. Handled with humor rather than pride, none of this is fatal. It just means someone has to be willing to bend first, and with these two, it is rarely the same person twice in a row.
